This was my fave Mexican restaurant for years but I am going to have to find another. There is a new menu, prices can't stay the same forever. I understand that. But if you unfortunately have to eat sugar and starch-free, it is hard to do, mostly because of answer to questions when you try to explain. Ok. But when I purposely ask for 3 items, namely, rice, beans and cheese to be left out, there is absolutely nothing different to replace it with. I tried. I don't see how it would have harmed them monetarily to put a little more guac or a few slices of avocado in there. I have the food problem, yes, but they are very unaccomodating. Such a shame... — Anonymous Reviewer

One of the best Mexican Restaurants in Winchester. I have frequently gone here and received good service and good food. Definitely a nice restaurant to dine in. — Anonymous Reviewer

I am a rancho regular. Every Thursday the entire lunch menu is only $4.99 including fajitas! Can't beat that deal. The service is fast and pleasant. The prices are phenomenal and love that you get chips and salsa right away. Can't go wrong with rancho!! — Anonymous Reviewer

This is my favorite place for mexican food in the area. I have always had a good experience with this restaurant. The service has always been prompt and friendly. The food has always been good. My favorites here are the pollo asado and the carnitas, but everything I have had has been very good. I love the queso dip here. If you want good mexican food for a reasonable price with good service then this is the place to go in Winchester. — Anonymous Reviewer

Rarely do I ever give a place a 5 out of 5 stars but this place just wins every facet of what I look for in a good restaurant. For starters, Its Mexican food and it is authentic and it is hot and fresh. Not to mention you get free chips and salsa which is by my standards just divine. And lastly and most importantly is the prices, which are just right on point and can fit most people wallets quite well. The staff is for the most part fairly understandable and speak some English. — Anonymous Reviewer

I came to this place after reading some reviews and thought that it would be good eating. I arrived and the decor and atmosphere really made it look promising. I ordered the Enchiladas Supremas with a side of rice and beans and was very disappointed. The dish didn't look appealing and it didn't taste any better. The chips and salsa were decent. I'd like to come back and try another meal before I check this restaurant off my list. — Anonymous Reviewer

I cannot rate the food since I walked out prior. The restaraunt was less than clean and not exactly appealing. I will continue to travel the extra miles to Inwood for Viva Mexico!!! — Anonymous Reviewer

I first went to El Ranchero about 2 years ago when I moved to Winchester. It was a Mexican restaurant so i decided to go in an give it a try. I have tried some of the other Mexican restaurants but always go back to El Ranchero. The food and service is great and I have never had a bad experience. I always leave full and I recommend them to everyone. — Anonymous Reviewer
