I guess we should have visited back in 2010. This was our first time. It wasn't good. None of it was good. It was dingy. The food was not good. The white rice was boiled not steamed. The fried rice was over cooked. Order was wrong and not cooked right. The bathroom was dirty. Lots of staff but they were all sitting at the back 2 tables. Just not good. — Anonymous Reviewer

The food is great. I do not like tepanyaki style, at all, so I only eat at the bar. I wish there were more regular tables set up, because the bar is not really my style. That said, the menu is good, food is great, and it's always a pleasure to eat at Sansui. — Anonymous Reviewer

I've only ever had the Sushi there and have loved it. I've been eating Sushi most of my life and I rate it the best Sushi place in Winchester. — Anonymous Reviewer

As a Californian raised on Family Japanese restaurants, I am quite the arrogant snob about good Japanese food. #1, I do not care for tepanyaki style, though most people do. To me, the quality and taste is in the restaurant style food. Sushi, rice, salad, tempura. At Sansui we normally eat at the bar and scarf on all the delicacies of the regular menu. Top shelf staff, top shelf menu. FRESH FRESH FRESH veggies and food. Highest quality. I am never disatisfied at Sansui. Fantastic place! — Anonymous Reviewer

I tried this place about a week ago, and LOVED it!! I am a new comer to Winchester and was looking for a good place. I found it! The Susi was the best! I will be returning! I am very happy that I found this place! — Anonymous Reviewer

The food is always great but the service leaves alot to be desired... wrong drink, very slow on the refills, our order was completely messed up, and the bill was wrong on top of it all. If you can put up with the service from the waitresses the food is good, the sushi is yummy, and the cooks put on a good show. — Anonymous Reviewer

I am rating this restaurant for their sushi. We sat at the sushi bar and had a nice time. We tried Jazz which is spicy tuna, crab and avocado which was sooo good. We also looooved the Gateway which is shrimp tempura, salmon, and tuna. The shrimp was sweet and perfectly crispy and it went well with the texture of the other fish with a light drizzle of teriyaki on top. We also had the Kamikaze which is spicy crab topped with avocado. We were not big fans of this one, it was just kinda boring...the crab did not have enough spice to it. All in all this place has a creative sushi menu and its really good quality. To get sushi. The drink list is fun and affordable with a good selection of fun cocktails. The one thing is that if you just get sushi you have to sit at the sushi bar because everything else are the grill tables. I would love to come back here with a group and order some sushi to start then get the hibachi, with some delicious drinks. This place definitely has some of the best sushi in town with the most creative sushi menu I have seen. — Anonymous Reviewer

I find this place to have rather bland food. — Anonymous Reviewer

The staff was friendly and our chef was very good at all of the tricks and was entertaining. For $5.00, they come out with Japanese drums and sing, give the B-day person cheesecake and take a picture. I had the scallops and they were delicious. The total of two mix drinks, dinner and one appetizer was around $70, so we will only back for special events — Anonymous Reviewer
