Sad! Food is good but service is some of the worst I've encountered. If mccoy's doesn't want to serve food please take it off the menu. The same goes for anything that is non-alcohol related. I've been in dive bars with better waitstaff. And please do something with the clutter-ration of stuff and wires that are in this restaurant, looks very unkept. To the cook, please find another restaurant that welcomes their customers instead of ignoring them (unless they are throwing back beers). — Anonymous Reviewer

I had lunch here last week. The food was OK but the service was slow even though there were only two tables occupied. The workers were talking with one of the other tables and told them that this restaurant was going out of business at the end of December. — Anonymous Reviewer

I've been to this McCoys on 3 occasions. The food is mostly good and the place is very clean. The employees seem rather 'clueless' -- the person who did the cooking each time that I was there appeared to be overworked and frazzled. On 2 separate visits, the server had no idea what was on the menu and had to keep asking the cook questions. On the 3rd visit, the server acted like they had never waited on anyone before! (No silverware, no straws, etc.) I asked the server if they were new they said no, they'd worked there for several months! The one thing that surprised me the most was that there was no mention of ice cream on the menu or on the signage. As I paid my bill, I saw a separate menu that gave info regarding their ice cream. I can't imagine why they don't give that one to the customer before they give them their check (which I had to ask for on all 3 visits). McCoys has a great opportunity to succeed in this location but they really need to train their employees and perhaps have a second person prepare sandwiches while the other one cooks hot food. — Anonymous Reviewer

The food is great at their restarants. I believe that Jeff and Bev are wonderful owners of there restaurants. Was very disappointed my husband had worked all day and I knew they did not close till 8. We went in for a quick sandwich at 7:40 one evening and we were told we could only get ice cream. If Jeff or Bev were there, they would have offered to make us cold sandwiches, however this was not the case. For this reason, we will not be returning. If you want your regular customers to come back, you need to take care of them and we had been regular customers from Day 1. Like the sugarfree ice cream at there Stephens City location. It is the best. Breakfast at the Winchester location is the bomb because Diane does the best breakfast around. — Anonymous Reviewer

Had lunch the other day and it was good, but had breakfast there this morning and I will have to say that this is one of my new favorites in Winchester to eat breakfast. Got a great portion of food for a great low price. Might be the best place to eat breakfast in Winchester now. Very nice people and very good food. — Anonymous Reviewer

Had dinner at McCoys tonight, which also was my first visit there. My daughter and I had the #2 cheeseburger meal and my son had the hot dog kids meal. The burgers were very good however, I would have rather had grilled onions (similar to Snow White Grills onions) than the hand cut on the burger...this is a very small issue as the food was simple yet fresh! Found it funny how the word McCoys was spelled out in mustard on my sons hot dog. We shared the hot fudge cake and it was amazing! The prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxed placed to grab a quick bite to eat! — Anonymous Reviewer

Great place! Simple food that tastes great at very good prices. Everyone is always friendly at both locations. The food is always cooked to order. The fries are always excellent; never soggy. If you have never been to McCoy's... go! — Anonymous Reviewer

A great little diner. My friend and I have had breakfast at McCoy's several times in the last couple months, and it's a good cheap friendly place to eat. I like their sausage and omelets. The biscuits are just okay. Service is very homestyle friendly. Definitely worth a visit. — Anonymous Reviewer

Being a fan of McCoy's Stephens City location and a huge fan of their chocolate soft serve (the best!), I was excited to learn that they had opened a indoor restaurant with the same food items as their outdoor location. I had breakfast there and it was great. One hotcake is as big as 2 to 3 pancakes. The owners and their family are very nice. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a casual dining spot. — Anonymous Reviewer

Service, food, atmosphere, EVERYTHING was awesome! You can tell these people put a lot of heart into their food. Everything is made-to-order right in front of you and you can tell the products are fresh! Lots of homemade goodies too! We will definitely go back again over and over and over. :) — Anonymous Reviewer
