In tried their cupcakes in Dec 2011 and wasn't too impressed--but the owners are so friendly! So, I just tried them again this October and thought they were much moister and the icing tasted homemade. If you've gone once and didn't like it, try it again...the second time was much better for me...maybe they're making improvements? I will be back! — Anonymous Reviewer

Horrible dry cupcakes with chemical like frosting... I don't know how this place is functioning with such bad products! Surprised people are ordering from them. I went here even after reading 10 bad reviews on Wincfood :( Big mistake! — Anonymous Reviewer

I went to a birthday party at FC for one of my daughters friends. The cupcakes were inedible. Even my 2 year old would not eat a cupcake. Very dry and the frosting tasted like plastic. We got a coupon for a free cupcake and will not even be using it. — Anonymous Reviewer

I too have visted, Frosted Crumbs several times hoping they had improved their recipe. Unfortunately, they hadn't and each time we ended up having to throw the cupcakes away. The cake was incredibly dense and heavy, while the icing tasted like something they had bought in bulk and shipped in to save money. On the other hand the store front was very presentable, I wish i could say the same for the cupcakes. It is common sense that before opening any type of bakery the products have to be edible. — Anonymous Reviewer

Went last week, picked up six assorted chemical tasting horrible cupcakes. Staff was nice, but this isn't a bakery. — Anonymous Reviewer

The staff was sweet, but I must agree that the cupcakes taste left a lot to be desired. After spending roughly $25.00 on 12 cupcakes, I am upset that I just didnt go to walmart. I hate to say this because I really enjoy supporting my local businesses but I am sad to say I won't be back — Anonymous Reviewer

We purchased a variety dozen of cupcakes and they all looked very good. I wish I could say the same about the taste, but unfortunately they were horrible. There was not a good one in the box. The cake was extremely dry and the frosting was inedible. We could not eat any of them completely. Sad to say we will not be back. — Anonymous Reviewer

I've been to Frosted Crumbs once and have been given a gift from there on another occasion. I have visited loads of different cupcake shops and this one is just ordinary. The problem with the icing is that they use shortening to make it, not butter. That is why it doesn't taste fresh. That is why it feels oily. That is why it is like something you'd get at the grocery. When I visit a cupcake shop for the first time, the first thing I ask is "what do you use to make your icing?" If they proudly say butter, then I'll go out of my way to visit them again. If they say shortening, then I'll probably avoid it in general and only visit if I'm REALLY craving a cupcake. And, in those cases, I'll make sure to select a cake that has icing with other ingredients as well (peanut butter or cream cheese) to minimize the amount of shortening I'm eating. The interior of the shop IS very pretty and the staff is really nice. I think it smells so good in there because they had loads of candles burning when I went in. — Anonymous Reviewer

I agree with the previous review that the icing is less than it could be. Fresh cupcakes with fresh icing is a MUST. I got two to sample when I went in last week. The interior is adorable and it smells fabulous going in, like a doughnut shop. The cupcakes are little pretty works of art. But the taste- I got a strawberry with champagne buttercream and a vanilla with buttercream. They just were...bleh. I only ate two bites of each and threw the rest away. I will continue to get my cupcakes from Sweet Surrender on Main st in Berryville- they are amazing. I wish this place was better because it is about 2 minutes from my house. — Anonymous Reviewer

The cupcakes look very pretty in the case upon entering. We sampled five different flavors. The cinnamon spice cupcake was very flavorful however dry. Tasted as if it was made the day before or left in the oven too long. The chocolate cupcake was dense and moist, but not as moist as it should have been. The lemon cupcake was too dry to eat it was clearly not fresh. They advertise that cupcakes are made fresh every morning...I have my doubts. The other flavors where ok. All the cupcakes were frosted with the same cheap type of frosting you can get at any grocery store and it leaves a greasy residue in your mouth. We won't be back, this shop is very disappointing...nothing like Magnolia's or Crumb. — Anonymous Reviewer
