this place used to be ok, not great but not bad . . . now it's pretty much terrible
my wife and I ordered a drink and a 1/2 dozen oysters for an appetizer and also ordered our meals at the same time. the drinks and oysters came out in a reasonable time, unfortunately our meals never arrived and after about 45 minutes we got our check and left. what a joke, it wasn't even crowded and now i know why. my guess is that the only regulars this place has are the locals that only drink the beer and hang at the bar
never again

We went on a Saturday night when no tables were available. We moved from the bar to a table then another behind our friends who were already eating. It took an hour to get our appetizers and longer to get our first plate of all you can eat crab. We had 3 plates between 2 all you can eat dinners. Each was frozen on the cluster. Our hushpuppies and fries were cold. We complained and asked for our bill. $100 for 2 people was ridiculous. We talked to the owner. He said we got bad food because we changed table too many times. He threatened to charge us more then told us never to come back.
This is not how you run a restaurant. You fix the problem with your customers, then you jump in to help your servers and kitchen.
On Saturday The Merge was playing to a packed house. They called last call at 11:00. I have never seen so many mad people. We swore never to go back and we did. Never again!

After reading the reviews and checking out the menu I was looking forward to trying this place out. Honestly, I can say for certain I will not be back.
It took over an hour and fifteen minutes for my fried platter and my wife's chicken dinner to come out. Oh, and the app I ordered didn't come out until the they brought the dinners. When the dinners finally got to our table my fried platter didn't even have the sides. Yes, slaw and hush puppies are supposed to come with the it. As far as the food, my dinner was soggy as though it were sitting under a heat lamp for some time waiting on who knows what. My wife's chicken (she's not a seafood person) was average at best.
I've worked in restaurants before and understand what can happen when you're short staffed. I get it. But, that's when management needs step up their game instead of standing around which I saw a lot of.
Yeah, they may have been having an off night. I'm sure there are many folks who are regulars, usually get good service and love the place. That's great. But as a first impression for me, an off night with below average food/service on a $70 bill tells me I won't be back.
