Service is AWFUL. We called to order ahead and were told they "don't do that." So, we went anyway and waited a solid hour after ordering - still no food. We had to get it to go. Will never attempt to go here for lunch again EVER. — Anonymous Reviewer

What on earth has happened to Cork Street Tavern? I used to really enjoy the atmosphere, service, food, etc. -- but NO MORE! Their menu has been completely overhauled with many of their signature foods removed. The prices have skyrocketed. The service is absolutely terrible! And the food preparation? I don't know who is doing their cooking, but I received what was supposed to be a fajita on a sub roll! And WHO ON EARTH has ever heard of a hamburger steak being BREADED????!!!!

Guess who will NOT be going back to Cork Street!!

I had friends visited from out of town and they wanted to got to a great local downtown Winchester place and my first thought was Cork Street Tavern. We arrived and had hoped to sit on the Patio but no seats available. We had 4 people in our party. The service was marginal. We wanted Virginia Wine, but our server said, she was really bad with wines, and had no idea and we asked if there was a wine list. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Sandwich, which I asked for no lettuce or tomato and no pickle spear and was serviced with guess what, lettuce, tomato and a pickle spear! I was extremely disappointed when the chicken was as dry as the desert and the cheese looked to be a Kraft American Single or something like it and I could not find our taste any BBQ sauce, DISGUSTING!!!! My friends ordered the crab cakes and asked for some Old Bay seasoning only to be told they had run out they had used it to make the crab cakes and did not have anymore. He asked for some tarter sauce which closely resembled mayo. He said he needed the Old Bay to try and choke down the crab cakes. My son had the chicken tenders and said they tasted like corn dogs. Our server was supposed to be refilling my tea, but instead poured tea in my son's coke and never realized until we had to flag her down. Also we had to continue to flag her down to get napkins or anything else. I am glad my friends and I were able to laugh off the experience and realize not all downtown place are like this, but I will NEVER go back. AWFUL!!!!! — Anonymous Reviewer

I agree this place is going downward. I have been a patron there on and off for over 15 years. I hope the owner reads these reviews and steps up the freshness of the food, gets the servers on point, and a fresh coat of paint! — Anonymous Reviewer

Don't know what all the fuss is about. Went there for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and then again last night, and the service was good, the burgers were delicious, and the dessert chimichanga was tasty. There was a crowd both times, so I just don't subscribe to the idea that this place is in some sort of permanent decline. — Anonymous Reviewer

We ate here for the 1st time a few days ago. We probably will not go back. I would not recommend eating there when there are much nicer and better places within walking distance. Food was ok, and service was ok. Neither was anything to brag about. Atmosphere was dark and gloomy. — Anonymous Reviewer

We ate here for the first time in months last weekend and it will be many more months before we try eating here again. My burger, which I ordered medium, was rare and the fries that came with it were just this side of burnt. My husband's chicken alfredo was flavorless. This place use to have great food. I'm not sure what's happened but until I hear that it's changed, I won't be back. — Anonymous Reviewer

We ate here before the Grand Feature parade. Wings were very good and the spice was spot on. Salads were good and of course the beer was great. — Anonymous Reviewer
