Oh brother, where do I even being with this review?? Today I took four of my employees to Crave for lunch. We arrived shortly after 11AM and were the first customers of the day. We were seated quickly and drink orders taken. Should have know it was going to be rough when it took almost ten minutes to have our drinks delivered. Noting big either as we ordered Pepsi, three waters and hot water with lemon. We placed our lunch orders for the following: Grilled Portabella Burger Cheese Burger Chicken and Waffles and two Salmon entrees 90 minutes later we finally received our food. Our waitress only refilled our drinks once during the wait and did not apologize for the delay. She did however make a comment that the "other guy" left her to make a delivery run. Still no "I'm sorry" just a cold shoulder and she mumbled as she walked back to the kitchen. We asked to speak with the manager and mentioned the poor service and the excessive delay. While he did apologize, he did not offer the comp the meal until we asked. He made an excuse that it was lunch time and they were busy. Again, we were the first customers to arrive...I suppose the service is quicker if you order delivery? The manager said we could talk about a comp/reduced rate after we finished our meals. Turns out he left to make another delivery and was not there when we were ready to go. Our table waived our arms in the air to catch the attention of our waitress to no avail. She ran a bee line from her other table back to the kitchen. I've never left a restaurant without paying but this was absolutely the worst dining experience I've ever encountered...anywhere! I walked into the kitchen to get out waitress and she was over the grill with the one cook helping him out. I told her we were done and ready to go. She did not acknowledge so I commented that her manager was going to comp our meals and that we were leaving. All she said was "Okay." As for the food. My chicken and waffles were very dry. Had okay flavor but hardly any syrup and I could barely choke them down since I didn't have anything to drink. The salmon entrees were terrible. Way too much salt, so much in fact that neither meal was finished. My employees that had the cheese burger and portabella burger said their burgers were good. All burgers come with endless fries but we didn't see any extra come around nor did we want to stay any longer. Our total visit was two hours long for a simple lunch gone horribly wrong. A one star is too generous but that's the lowest I could rate this one. Other reviews on Yelp indicate some of these same experiences. This will be my last visit to Crave and I cannot envision this establishment lasting much longer unless the owner hires the right staff to run the restaurant. — Anonymous Reviewer

If you go get the chicken and waffles. It was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The service was quick and friendly. Prices were on par with other restaurant in the area. We will be back to eat here again — Anonymous Reviewer

Stopped here while traveling back home to Martinsburg and had read good reviews on here and as I had tried most restaurants out in Winchester I thought I would give it a try. After looking through the menu which bore resemblance to a place in Chicago I had eaten in last year I decided on having the chicken and waffles. I am not wanting to knock anyone but how could this be a signature dish in an aspiring upscale restaurant? It was ok but nothing more. Service was average and when I dine alone it isn't a sign for the manager to keep coming over to strike up a conversation. Overall impression was they are trying too hard to be something they're not. There is obviously investment there but needs to be better directed. — Anonymous Reviewer

6 (3 couples) of us went Friday evening after a friend posted a picture of the Chicken and Waffles. Everything was just fabulous! Including our server Sierra! We all had something different and it was so good we had to share!! I wish we could have had one of everything on the menu. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. In fact, I went back for lunch the next day. Oh, and the chicken and waffles did not disappoint! — Anonymous Reviewer

For my lunch yesterday, I had the Hindenburger. It's a great concept (deep fried burger) but my burger was well done and very dry. While dry, the burger still managed to be flavorful and I'm sure this is one of the things the chefs will iron out. The sliders my wife ordered were cooked just right and were very juicy! The menu here has a lot of interesting choices so I know I'll be back. This place is new and the owner likes to talk to his customers. I especially liked how the owner asked for my feedback and I can hear his commitment to providing service excellence. — Anonymous Reviewer

Just ate dinner here. Had the Porkapacalypse. It was outstanding. Excellent fries as well. My wife had the chicken nacho's. She said they were fantastic. The manager came over and spent time talking with us. The service was great. I highly recommend you give them a try. You wont be disappointed. — Anonymous Reviewer

Ate dinner with 2 friends on Tuesday, March 18th. I had the Philly Sandwich and it was a good portion for the money along with fries...but both the meat and bread were DRY!!! My friend had the hamburger on a waffle -- not impressed - Hamburger was cooked too long and didn't have any seasoning. On a brighter note - the atmosphere was nice and the server was very attentive and prompt. I'll try them again sometime. — Anonymous Reviewer

I went on Sunday and really enjoyed my experience. I had the meatloaf with mac and cheese and apple/fennel salad. I thought the prices were reasonable, the food was creative and tasty, and the service was good. They also have ipads for kids to play with. — Anonymous Reviewer

Very impressed! Great atmosphere, Great food, Friendly attentive service. Stopped in on Saturday March 15th to give this restaurant a try. Had a friend tell us how good it was. They were there for lunch prior but we gave the dinner menu a try. They had a Prime Rib Special. What a meal. The prime rib was tender and flavorful. Extremely large portion. I got the grilled asparagus side and baked potato. The grilled asparagus was out of this world. The service staff was polite, attentive but not overbearing. The owner came out to see how we were enjoying our dinner. He discussed the menu. All items are fresh not frozen. Except for ice cream. They make their own bread and rolls. Family friendly. Given the history of the location and numerous restaurants prior to Crave we were a little reluctant to give Crave a try. I'm glad we did and will be back often. Treat yourself. You won't be disappointed. MTM — Anonymous Reviewer

Great twist on traditional menu items. A variety of menu options for Fresh, hot, and tasty food at a reasonable price. We had the cheeseburger and steak and cheese. Good atmosphere for almost any occasion. 4 TVs in a good location for watching sports. IPads available to occupy children. Friendly employees. — Anonymous Reviewer
